1. Your Agreement
This community, The Wholesale Forums, is provided to you (being the "users" or "members" of our website) by Uvex Media™. The Wholesale Forums is for use by businesses only. Reference to "The Wholesale Forums", "we", "us" or "our" are for the purpose of these terms and conditions ("terms") are references to Uvex Media™. References to this "community" are to this forum forming part of our website. Access to and use of this website and the services it provides (our "website" or "site") are subject to the following terms. These terms are subject to variation by us at any time. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we have made as they are binding on you. By accessing or directly using this website, including downloading material, you agree to be legally bound by these terms without exception or modification. Please ensure that you review them carefully when starting to use this site and from time to time. If you do not agree to the published terms, please refrain from using this website.
2. Registration & Access
- To register as a member of this community is free of charge and will take you just a few minutes. If you haven't already registered, you can register here.
- As a member of this community, you are strictly limited to registering one user account only. Any member that is found to be using multiple user accounts will have their community membership permanently rescinded.
- If you have been permanently banned from this community previously, you are forbidden from registering any new accounts. You are however entitled to contact us to discuss whether your ban can be lifted. Please always state your community username when contacting us otherwise we may be unable to assist you.
- The use of anonymous proxies or other IP address filters to access this community is strictly forbidden. If you are found to be using a proxy to access this community your membership will be permanently rescinded.
- By choosing to register as a member of this community, it is your responsibility to ensure that you have read, understood and fully agree to our terms including the privacy policy and disclaimer, prior to registration.
3. Posting
- In order to post messages on this community you will need to have completed the registration process to become a community member. If you haven't yet registered, please register here to enable posting privileges, unrestricted search facilities and benefit from many other member only services.
- The most important thing to remember when you are posting here is to use your common sense. Please consider what you have written before pressing the submit button where the content you have posted may have unforeseen consequences.
- As a community, members are reminded to be respectful, polite and sensitive to how others may react to certain issues or situations at all times. Please treat others how you yourself would expect to be treated and avoid any form of heated confrontation with any other member or group of members anywhere on this community.
- We do not permit foul, obscene, abusive or offensive language to be published here.
- We are an English Language community. We do not permit content of any other language to be published here. In addition, we ask that you respect English heritage and avoid using any form of "text or short hand language". Please use appropriate grammar and a spell checker at all times.
- To assist with keeping this community tidy and well organised for the benefit of all our members, please ensure that any posts you make are on topic and are posted in the correct discussion category. Please also consider using the search facility prior to posting a new topic that may have already been discussed.
- As a member, you are kindly reminded to review and respect the entirety of these terms and to therefore avoid posting any inappropriate or otherwise contravening material or content. (Please see our section on inappropriate material for further information).
4. Advertising
- As one of the leading B2B and small business communities on the Internet, we respect that many of our members wish to advertise their goods or services to our extensive and global membership. In order to do so however, you must first register and be an approved community advertiser.
- You are strictly forbidden to advertise on this community under any circumstances unless you have registered and been accepted as a community advertiser. 5. Inappropriate Material
In order to protect The Wholesale Forums and its community members from legal risk, and to maintain an environment that encourages constructive debate and discussion, the following inappropriate material may not be posted on this message board and we reserve the right to remove any material at our sole discretion without notice at anytime:
- Posting inflammatory, abusive, racist or otherwise offensive comments, remarks, language or insinuations.
- Posting material to which a third party claims copyright, other intellectual rights or that breaches applicable laws without a) permission from the owner of such copyright or other intellectual property rights or b) adequate referencing and acknowledgement of the owner of such copyright or other intellectual property rights.
- Posting obscene, vulgar or pornographic material including links to other website's that contain or promote this material.
- Posting guides or partaking in the discussions of how to unlock or circumvent copyrighted or protected software and technologies.
- Posting content or sensitive information that may invade the personal privacy of another individual or business.
- Posting unsolicited/commercial advertising, or the promotion of your own business or website unless; a) you are a registered community advertiser or b) have purchased advertising/marketing as part of bespoke solutions.
- Posting unsolicited/commercial advertisements that attempt or invite the distribution of counterfeit/trademark infringing products/services. (Typically fake, replica or otherwise brand/right infringing goods).
- Posting guides or partaking in discussions that promote or endorse pyramid, affiliate, referral or quick cash schemes.
- Posting, requesting or distributing material via e-mail or the private messaging system that contravenes any of the terms.
- Posting irrelevant, off-topic or generally ill-thought or unexplored material/content.
- Posting pictures or graphical images within your post that are not hosted on your own web space or without the explicit permission of the web space owner. (Typically referred to as hot-linking).
- Posting any material that contravenes any applicable laws.
As a community member, should you come across any material which you believe is inappropriate you may use the report post feature within individual community threads or alternatively you may contact us directly.
6. Private Messaging / E-mailing
As a registered member of this community, you have the ability to use the private messaging facility to contact other members and our community advertisers. This feature is only available to those members with over ten or more quality posts and you must have been registered for at least three days. Once you have ten or more quality posts your members account will *automatically be upgraded to “community member” status. (Note: *Typically this process takes one hour but can take up to four to fully complete)
- You are strictly forbidden from attempting to circumvent any of these terms via the private messaging or e-mailing systems. This includes but is not limited to sending; unsolicited commercial advertisements, abusive, rude or otherwise suggestive content.
- Any abuse or attempt to circumvent our terms via these means will result in the permanent termination of your members account.
- As a community member you are permitted a storage facility of up to 500 messages. As a community advertiser, you can benefit from an increased level of 2000 messages. (Note: It is your responsibility to maintain and backup your own storage facility).
- This community does not provide a member-to-member e-mailing feature. If you wish to contact another member of the community, please use the private messaging facility that is provided.
7. Signatures
The use of a member’s signature (appended below any posts you make) is limited to those who have a community or advertising membership and is subject to the following stipulation.

Please Note:
- Your signature must be set through the option provided in your members control panel and not manually added to the end of posts.
- Advertisers are permitted four hyperlinks if linking to pages within this community or two hyperlinks if to external website's.
- Your signature may not be rented or sold to anybody else.
- Your signature may not be a size greater than the default, include more than two different colours or contain referral or affiliate links.
- Any attempt to advertise through your members signature (when not a community advertiser) is subject to termination of the privilege and possibly your members account along with it. We reserve all rights to modifying, removing or disabling signature facilities.
8. Infractions
This community operates a system of formal warnings and these are issued to members in the form of recorded infractions. Typically when a member infringes our terms, a community moderator will issue an infraction reminding them of the terms of the user agreement that you have read, understood and agreed to at the point of registration and each time you use this site. It is your responsibility to read these terms in their entirety and ensure that you comply. Confessing ignorance after the event will not be acceptable.
- Depending on the severity of your infraction, you may, at our sole discretion, be subject to a warning or an immediate ban from this community either on a temporary or indefinite basis. We generally operate a two strike policy but make no guarantees that your offence will accommodate a second chance.
- By reading and ensuring that you are complying with our terms, you will hopefully never have the unsavoury experience of being informed by the moderating team that you are in breach of these terms that you have agreed to be bound by.
9. Complaints
- If your complaint is against another member, specific content or reference on this community or other, you are requested to notify the forum management by emailing us or writing to us directly. (Please note: This message board is not edited or monitored for the accuracy or lawfulness of its content).
- If you disagree with any decision we make, contact us privately where we can consider the circumstances of your issue or query. You may never publicly engage in a debate or question a decision we make within the community, please only do so by emailing us.
- In respect of all legitimate complaints, we operate a takedown procedure in respect of any material or content that contravenes these terms, pending our investigation. By using this site you agree to our adopting such procedures. You accept that our decision following the outcome of any investigation is final and binding.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
- Uvex Media™ is the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in this site and in the material published on it by us (“Content”). All Content is protected by copyright laws and all rights are reserved. You must not use any part of the Content on our site for commercial purposes without a licence from us to do so.
- You warrant that the intellectual property rights in all content and material posted to the site by you is owned by you and no third party assert rights to such material and you are not infringing any such third party’s rights. We reserve the right to remove at any time without notice any content or material at our sole discretion which we believe may contravene these terms.
11. Links to or from our Website
- You may link to our homepage and/or pages within our site provided that you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage or take advantage of our reputation. You must not establish a link in such a way as to suggest any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists. We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice at out sole discretion.
- Where our site contains links to other sites, through adverts placed on our site or otherwise, such website's are provided by third parties and we have no control over the contents of such sites or the trading methods of such businesses and do not by such adverts or links endorse any such businesses. We accept no responsibility for any adverts or links to other website's or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
12. Viruses and other Offences
- You must not knowingly misuse our site by introducing viruses or other material of any description which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any computer or database connected to our site including using a denial-of-service attack. Any breach of this requirement may constitute an offence under the Computer Misuse Act and we will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and cooperate by disclosing your identity. Any breach of this provision will immediately result in termination of your right to use our site.
- We shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a denial-of-service attack, viruses or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material that may be due to your use of our site, to downloading any material posted on the site or on any website linked to it.

13. Privacy Policy & Disclosure of Information
- The information that we collect from you is part of our basic registration process and is limited to your email address, IP address, location and any profile information that you optionally submit to our community. In respect of advertisers, we collect your business information, including: business name, address, legal entity, telephone numbers, email address and identity confirming documentation. In respect of advertisers we store your information up until which point you no longer have an advertising or other agreement with us, at which point your data is securely removed for our systems and databases. In respect of members, your information will be held up until which point your user account is deleted.
- Uvex Media™ is registered with the Information Commissioner as a data controller and by submitting information to us you hereby consent to the storage or processing of such information by us.
- We use the information we collect from you, to notify you of any changes to our services and, where you have opted to receive it, to send you our newsletter which may occasionally contain references to suitable products or services that we feel you may be interested in.
- We may disclose your information to a prospective seller or buyer or their advisers in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, including in respect of The Wholesale Forums or Uvex Media™.
- Other than as set out in these terms, Uvex Media™ will not sell, rent or pass the information we store about you to third parties. Whilst our server, databases and online community are all located securely in our London, UK facility, unfortunately the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure. We will do our best to protect your information but any transmission is at your own risk.
- We reserve the right to disclose your identity (or whatever information we know about you) to comply with any legal obligation or in the event of an official request from a legal authority or any legal complaint/action arising from as a result of any message posted or activity involving your member account or as necessary to protect the right, property and safety of Uvex Media™, our members/clients or others.
14. Disclaimer
- The Wholesale Forums or its parent organisation Uvex Media™ cannot be held responsible for any false, defamatory, libellous, offensive or otherwise unacceptable content or reference to information that is posted on this message board.
- The Wholesale Forums or its parent organisation Uvex Media™ does not take responsibility for the postings made by individual users on this message board. Under all circumstances, users are solely responsible for any postings or activity they engage in on this message board.
- The Wholesale Forums is a business division of Uvex Media™ and is privately owned and operated. Membership to our community is not an automatic right and is only granted on the condition that members accept and abide (under all circumstances) with these terms.
- The Wholesale Forums reserves the right to cancel, suspend or permanently terminate any member and/or any accounts without prior warning or notice. Breaches of our user agreement or any of the terms enlisted will be dealt with on an individual case-by-case basis, resulting in formal warnings, suspensions and permanent account terminations.
- The material and content displayed on our site is provided without any guarantees or warranties as to its accuracy. To the fullest extent permitted by law we hereby expressly exclude all conditions and warranties implied by law or statute and all liability whether in tort (including negligence) or for breach of contract or otherwise in respect of any damage incurred by any user in connection with the use of, or inability to use, our site, resulting or caused due to any advertising placed on our site by members, users or third parties or any website's linked to our site.
15. Law and Jurisdiction
- These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter or formation, the use of our site (including both contractual and non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the Laws of England and Wales.
- The English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over and dispute or claim arising from, or related to, a visit or use of our site.
